Kyle Orton was benched at halftime and rookie Tim Tebow nearly rallied the Broncos from a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit. Tim Tebow ran for a TD and threw for another, going 4 for 10 for 79 yards and a touchdown and ran six times for 38 yards and a score. Philip Rivers overcame two big turnovers to throw for 250 yards and a touchdown to go with a TD run, Ryan Mathews managed a career-best 125 yards on 25 carries and Nick Novak, who is on the Chargers roster because Nate Kaeding is out for the year after injuring his left knee on the season's opening kickoff, made all five of his field goal attempts.

Chris Houston had a 100-yard interception return TD, Cliff Avril got a sack, strip and scoop TD. Matthew Stafford completed 21 of 30 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns, including a 56-yarder to Calvin Johnson, who joined Randy Moss as the only wide receivers since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to catch 11 TD passes in his team's first eight games.

Tom Brady tied a postseason record with six touchdown passes -- including five in the first half -- as New England rolled to a 45-10 second-round victory over the Broncos at chilly Gillette Stadium. Tim Tebow didn't reach six completions until midway through the fourth quarter. With the way both teams were playing, a trademark Tebow Time comeback wouldn't have happened if an extra hour were added to the game clock. Tim Tebow finished 9-of-26 passing for 136 yards with a lost fumble. He was sacked five times and limited to 13 yards on five carries. Brady didn't get sacked while completing 26 of 34 attempts for 363 yards.
