Scott, Kriesien lead NAU to 45-24 win over Idaho State
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Lance Kriesien threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns while Lionel Scott rushed for 163 yards and three TDs as Northern Arizona beat Idaho State 45-24 Saturday night.
The Lumberjacks (4-3, 3-1 Big Sky) rolled to a 31-3 halftime lead and coasted from there to their 11th consecutive homefield win over Idaho State (2-4, 1-3).
The Bengals haven't won a game in the Walkup Skydome here since 1984.
NAU, which leads the Big Sky in rushing with 203 yards per game, had 358 yards against Idaho State with Scott getting his yardage on 17 carries.
Scott had touchdown runs of 35, 20 and 14 yards while Kriesien, who was 18-of-24, threw scoring passes of 7 and 15 yards to Daiveun Chapman and a 48-yarder to Alex Henderson.
Eddie Thompson scored on runs of 21 and 8 yards for Idaho State while backup quarterback Russel Hill threw a 68-yard touchdown pass to Clyde Logan with 1:49 remaining in the game.
Hill was 10-of-17 for 139 yards after replacing starter Luke Butler, who was 8 of 17 for 48 yards with one interception.
