Therriault had 374 yards on 33-for-50 passing, helping the Tigers (3-1, 1-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference) gain 460 yards of total offense. Therriault started the scoring early on a 5-yard pass to Marcellos Wilder with 11:44 left in the first quarter. The Delta Devils (0-4, 0-2) answered 11 seconds later on Oliver Hughes' 57-yard touchdown pass to Paul Cox. However, it would be the only time MVSU would find the end zone. The Delta Devils struggled offensively, gaining just 219 yards and converting only 2 of 15 third downs. Ryan Rich put the Tigers up 36-7 on a 74-yard interception return for a touchdown late in the third quarter. Hughes led the Delta Devils with 136 yards and a touchdown on 5-for-19 passing.
